227 Masada
Ruins on top of Masada. In 72 A.D. the Romans tried to attack Masada and the Jews who had fled there during the
Jewish Revolt. They eventually built a ramp leading up to the top. When they finally broke through
they found the 960 Jews had committed suicide rather that surrender to the Romans.
